My name is Aldrich, and I am currently a student in my high school’s Science and Technology program, where I have been actively pursuing engineering and biology courses. In my Sophomore year, I received an Honorable Mention at the science fair for designing and inventing a 3D-printed saxophone mouthpiece that produces varied sound profiles. Since acquiring my 3D printer for that project, I have continued to develop and refine my skills, creating innovative models and expanding my knowledge in the field. Science Fair Award
In 2023, I earned an Honorable Mention at my high school’s science fair for my innovative 3D-printed saxophone mouthpieces. This project demonstrated my ability to combine engineering and music, pushing the boundaries of 3D printing technology. The custom mouthpieces offered enhanced playability and unique sound qualities, illustrating the potential of 3D printing in musical instrument design. The project was so well-executed that a senior, who had done a similar project, emailed other teachers falsely accusing me of copying work from others. Despite these baseless claims, my original project received the recognition it deserved, and I was only a sophomore at the time. not only showcased my ability to merge engineering with music but also demonstrated my commitment to pushing the boundaries of 3D printing technology. The varied sounds and enhanced playability of these custom mouthpieces were well-received, highlighting the potential of 3D printing in musical instrument design.

Portable Hygiene Caddy
Another project I’m particularly proud of is the portable hygiene caddy I designed and created for an English teacher at my school. This practical solution, tailored to meet specific needs, has been in use since its creation and continues to serve its purpose effectively. This project underscores my ability to blend functionality with creativity, addressing real-world needs with practical design solutions.
